“Is anyone even paying attention?!”

Stop shouting into the void and channel your frustration into a nature-centered novel.

Nobody in your family or social circles seems to get it. You care passionately about the natural world, and in this time of fires, floods, and extinctions you want to do something with that passion. Something that will have an impact.

You think that something might be writing a novel, but you have zero know-how and about as much confidence in your ability.

Sure, you could spend months reading piles of craft books, trying to figure out if your idea could even be a novel, but who has time for that? (Not our blue planet, that’s for sure.) You’re ready to take action now! (If only someone would tell you what the next step is.)

  • Follow a series of steps that would grow your idea from a tiny seed into a big, beautiful tree?

  • Take hopeful action that will create something worthwhile (and counter the naysayers and shoulder-shruggers at the same time)?

  • Work with someone who understands your passion for nature and will support you with instruction and accountability?

What if you could:

Hi, I’m Erin.

Years ago I had a mantra running through my head that went something like this:

“I love nature and reading, but I’m not smart enough to work in science and I’m not creative enough to write a book.”

But deep down I knew these thoughts weren’t true. I knew I was smart, and I knew I was creative. I just couldn’t figure out what to do with my passion for nature.

Turns out, I love nature but I’m not passionate about applied science. Turns out, I needed to learn how to construct a story, and have some outside perspective and accountability to see the process through.

If you have more doubts than action steps, I can help you get out of your own way and finally make progress, because I’ve been there too.

Let’s get your passion for nature out in the world with my Blueprint for a Book package.

  • Be guided through Author Accelerator’s Blueprint for a Book process, a series of steps that build on each other to help you define why you want to write, who you’re writing for, and what your book is about.

  • Grow your knowledge of your story by defining who is your main character, what are they struggling with, and how will they change over the course of the story.

  • Create a solid yet flexible outline to guide you as you draft your novel.

In this package you’ll:

By the end of this package you will have a vision for your impactful, nature-centered novel, and a plan to begin writing it.

Ready for the specifics?

We will be working with Blueprint for a Book, by Jennie Nash, as well as my workbook “Before & After: Mapping Your Protagonist’s Arc of Change.” The assignments and feedback will unfold like this:

  • You’ll have 2 submission deadlines to complete the work

  • Feedback on each submission will be in the form of a multi-page written letter, and in-line comments on your pages to help you clarify and deepen your vision

  • Each submission deadline comes with an hour-long coaching session on Zoom (to be scheduled after you receive my feedback)

  • Email support for when you get stuck

Timeline: 4-6 weeks

Investment: $700 USD

“I was struggling with character development before I reached out to Erin.”

“I was nervous about working with a book coach because I didn't know what to expect and if it was worth the time working with a book coach. (It is!) I knew Erin was the right fit for me when we had our first coaching calls because she was friendly, provided excellent insight into what my story needed, and understood my concerns about writing.  As a result of working with Erin, I now have a solid foundation for my story and am more confident that I can actually write my story now that I have an improved plot that includes more dimensional characters.”

Are you ready to focus your passion for nature, and create something impactful?

Got questions? I’ve got answers!

Yes, you can pay 50% at the time of purchase and 50% at the second submission deadline. I do not add a markup or penalty on payment plans.

Do you offer payment plans?

4-6 weeks sounds fast. What if I'm busy?

Yeah, I mean, life, right? I have a couple thoughts. One benefit of book coaching is accountability to actually make time for writing in your schedule, so you might find that getting the work done isn’t as hard as you thought it would be. But if you just need more time, no worries, you have up to six months to complete this package.

Are there specific genres you work with?

I work with people writing character-driven fiction for adults, YA, and middle grade readers. Genres could include contemporary fiction, historical fiction, women’s fiction, light fantasy, and magical realism, as well as others. I steer clear of high fantasy, horror, thriller, and erotica.

What if two deadlines isn’t enough?

During the course of our work together you may decide you’d like to make more progress than we are able to with two deadlines. Additional deadlines can be purchased for $225 each, up to a maximum of two deadlines.
